Description:

The TC IT Senior Systems Administrator is an administrative position involving coordination, management, and support of the tax collection and billing system (TaxSys), all applications used for daily operations, ticketing systems, service desk, and all corresponding requests for development or maintenance for said systems, conjointly with the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicle (DHSMV) systems, including Driver’s License services.  The incumbent coordinates the overall operation of the TaxSys ticketing system (Jira) to ensure prioritization based on business needs and monitors all requests to ensure a timely completion, while managing customer service and associated risk, and identifies new requirements for the coordination of all development and deployment with the third-party vendor.  Additional responsibilities include conducting financial and programmatic research and providing custom reporting for management analysis and decision-making pertaining to the Miami-Dade County Office of the Tax Collector, providing day-to-day technical support to the end users, troubleshooting system issues, analyzing complex problems, and identifying potential improvements to the systems.  The incumbent must communicate effectively and build liaisons with business partners to facilitate and enhance the taxpayer experience of doing business with the Miami-Dade County Office of the Tax Collector.
