The Miami-Dade County Tax Collector’s Office is committed to responding to public records requests as required per Chapter 119 of the Florida Statutes.  As a result of frequent inquiries from members of the public, media, elected officials, and governmental agencies, and in light of President Donald J. Trump’s January 29, 2026 Executive Order, Addressing Threats to the United States by the Government of Cuba, together with the accompanying national emergency declaration under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, the Miami-Dade County Tax Collector’s Office is publishing public records related to its obligations concerning the exercise of its duties pursuant to Chapter 205 of the Florida Statutes.  

President Trump’s Executive Order states that the policies and actions of the Government of Cuba pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States and directs federal agencies to intensify enforcement of Cuba related restrictions. This review is limited to the Tax Collector’s responsibilities concerning Local Business Tax Receipts under section 205.0532, Florida Statutes, and applicable provisions of the Miami-Dade County Code. It does not determine federal licensing status or sanctions compliance.

The Office of the Miami-Dade County Tax Collector remains committed to administering the law faithfully, maintaining an open public record, and carrying out its duties with consistency and integrity.
