MIAMI-DADE COUNTY DRIVER LICENSE OFFICES
As a result of a recent constitutional amendment, the Miami-Dade County Office of the Tax Collector is gradually assuming responsibility for the administration of the County's nine Driver License Offices, which were previously managed by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV). This transition, expected to take several months, is designed to improve the accessibility of appointments and services for Miami-Dade residents. We ask for the public's patience and cooperation during this process.
In the interim, FLHSMV will continue to manage appointments and provide Driver License services at most locations within Miami-Dade County. NEW! DRIVER LICENSE SERVICES AT THE TAX COLLECTOR’S OFFICE
For the first time, Miami-Dade County residents can access Driver License services and Motor Vehicle transactions directly at the Tax Collector's office located at 200 N.W. 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL. 33128. This significant enhancement in service availability is made possible through the dedicated efforts of the newly elected Tax Collector, Dariel Fernandez, who has worked tirelessly to allocate county resources where they are needed most.
Please note: Residents can now complete most Driver License’s transactions at the Tax Collector’s Office, with the exception of driving tests and Commercial Driver Licenses (CDL).
In addition to Driver License services, a variety of Motor Vehicle transactions—including vehicle registrations, title transfers, license plate issuance, and specialty parking permits—can also be processed at the Tax Collector's office. For more details on Motor Vehicle Transactions, select the desired transaction from the menu buttons above.

The certifier (the person providing proof of address) must either:
- Accompany the customer to an office to sign the form in the presence of an examiner; or
- Sign the form in front of a notary.
The certifier must also provide two documents proving their own residential address, one of which must be a deed, mortgage agreement, lease agreement, or a similar document.
