Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez joined community leaders, supporters, and advocates at the Live Like Bella® Celebration of Gratitude 2026 to recognize the extraordinary impact the organization continues to make in the lives of children and families facing pediatric cancer.

One of the evening's most meaningful moments was the presentation of an Honorary Citation by Tax Collector Fernandez to the Live Like Bella Childhood Cancer Foundation in recognition of its unwavering dedication to advancing pediatric cancer research, supporting families, and inspiring hope throughout South Florida and beyond.

Founded in honor of Bella Rodriguez-Torres, Live Like Bella has become a nationally recognized force in the fight against childhood cancer, funding groundbreaking research while providing critical support to families during some of life's most difficult moments.

"Live Like Bella represents the very best of our community," said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. "Their mission is driven by compassion, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to helping children and families facing unimaginable challenges. It was an honor to recognize their extraordinary work and the hope they continue to bring to so many lives."

As Miami-Dade County Tax Collector, Fernandez emphasized the importance of supporting organizations that make a lasting difference through service, advocacy, and community engagement. He thanked the foundation's leadership, volunteers, donors, and supporters for their continued commitment to improving outcomes for children battling cancer.

The event served as a powerful reminder that when communities come together with a shared purpose, they can create meaningful change and provide hope for generations to come.
