The Miami-Dade County Office of the Tax Collector completed another major revenue distribution this week, issuing $1.7 billion in November property tax collections and bringing the total distributed so far in the 2025–2026 fiscal year to $2,744,311,314.

These funds directly support the operations of municipalities, the Miami-Dade County School Board, countywide services, and other taxing authorities that rely on timely revenue to keep essential programs running. According to the official distribution summary, municipalities received $366.8 million, the School Board received $649.2 million, countywide services received $595.8 million, and state and special districts received $60.4 million, with the remainder allocated to authorized agencies and statutory fees.

“These dollars keep classrooms open, support our police and fire services, and ensure the day-to-day operations that keep Miami-Dade moving,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “Our priority is simple — get these funds where they belong, quickly, responsibly, and with full accountability.”

Fernandez emphasized that while the Tax Collector’s Office manages the collection and distribution process, it does not set budgets, policies, or spending priorities. Those decisions are made by the individual taxing authorities under Florida law. The role of the Tax Collector is to collect revenues, safeguard them, and distribute them accurately and on time.

The office distributed more than $10 billion during the previous fiscal year, and Fernandez noted that the same level of precision and transparency continues this season.

“As payments come in throughout the tax cycle, our office will continue issuing distributions and sharing updates so residents understand how property tax collections support essential services across Miami-Dade,” he said.

Residents seeking assistance with property taxes or other services can visit any of the 11 Miami-Dade Tax Collector office locations across the county.
