The Miami-Dade County Office of the Tax Collector continued its November Town Hall Series with three well-attended community meetings in Homestead, Kendale Lakes, and Cutler Bay, giving residents the chance to ask questions, learn about services, and speak directly with Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez.

Each Town Hall offered residents clear information on property tax payments, renewal services, appointment scheduling, and how to save money by paying early — including the 4% early payment discount available for November. These meetings helped neighbors better understand their tax bills and access our services closer to home, without long travel or delays.

“We’re taking these conversations to every corner of the county because government should meet people where they are,” said Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “Every question helps us improve, every concern helps us get better, and every conversation brings us closer to serving residents the way they deserve.”

Fernandez thanked all the residents who attended for their thoughtful questions and active participation. He also expressed his appreciation to the local leaders and partners who opened their doors for these meetings, including Mayor Steve Losner and his team in Homestead, Miami-Dade County Public Libraries for hosting the Kendale Lakes Town Hall, Commissioner Roberto Gonzalez for his support, and the Town of Cutler Bay officials and staff who welcomed residents for the final meeting of the week.

These Town Halls are part of a broader effort by the Tax Collector’s Office to expand access, improve transparency, and build stronger connections with neighborhoods across Miami-Dade County. The November series continues with more dates and locations available at mdctaxcollector.gov.
