In a significant effort to enhance accessibility and convenience for residents, Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez has launched and is actively continuing a month-long initiative to bring the Florida Licensing On Wheels (FLOW) program directly into neighborhoods across the county.

FLOW offers a range of essential services at local events and key community locations. Residents can renew their vehicle registrations, obtain driver’s licenses and state ID cards, purchase specialty license plates, and register emergency contact information—all without having to visit a traditional office. The initiative is exclusively dedicated to serving Miami-Dade residents throughout the month of May.

"I consistently reiterate my message that we are here to help—bringing services closer to the residents of Miami-Dade,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “For many years, residents had to accommodate to our locations, and hours of operation. Now, we are here to accommodate their needs. This is what I’m here to do—amplify services, extend hours, and bring our essential services directly to the people who need them most.

So far, the FLOW trucks have successfully served hundreds of residents in Cutler Bay, Hialeah, and Doral, where the Supervisor of Elections, Alina Garcia, generously provided access to the Miami-Dade Elections Department parking lot to support this community effort.

FLOW services also include public safety outreach in collaboration with the Florida Highway Patrol, such as emergency contact registration and safety awareness campaigns. However, it’s important to note that no written or driving exams are administered at the mobile units.

As the FLOW trucks continue their tour of Miami-Dade County throughout May, this ongoing effort stands as a testament to Fernandez's commitment to modernizing public service delivery and putting people first.

For updates on FLOW locations and schedules, residents are encouraged to visit the Miami-Dade County Tax Collector’s official website or follow our social media.
