Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez joined students, parents, educators, and community leaders to celebrate the winners of the 2026 Kids Tag Art Program, recognizing the creativity, talent, and hard work of young artists from across Miami-Dade County.

The Kids Tag Art Program is a statewide educational initiative that encourages artistic expression, creativity, and civic engagement among students. Through the program, young artists have the opportunity to create specialty license plate artwork while learning about the importance of community involvement and supporting meaningful causes throughout Florida.

This year’s unveiling ceremony marked the crowning of the program’s winning design and celebrated the remarkable talent displayed by participating students. The event brought together families, teachers, and supporters of arts education to recognize the accomplishments of the next generation of creative leaders.

“Programs like Kids Tag Art inspire students to think creatively, express themselves, and take pride in their work,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “Seeing the imagination and talent of these young artists reminds us why investing in education and opportunities for our youth is so important.”

As part of its commitment to supporting students and arts education, the Miami-Dade County Tax Collector’s Office proudly contributed $20,000 toward local arts education initiatives. The investment will help provide resources and opportunities that encourage artistic development and educational success for students throughout the community.

Fernandez emphasized that programs like Kids Tag Art do more than showcase artistic talent—they help build confidence, foster creativity, and inspire students to pursue their passions. By supporting educational opportunities that extend beyond the classroom, the program continues to make a lasting impact on young people across Miami-Dade County.

As Miami-Dade County Tax Collector, Fernandez reaffirmed his commitment to investing in programs that support student achievement and strengthen educational opportunities. He noted that empowering young people today helps create stronger communities and brighter opportunities for the future.

The ceremony served as a celebration of creativity, education, and community partnership, highlighting the important role the arts play in helping students discover their potential and prepare for future success.
