Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez Attends Alfombra de Aserrín Exhibition at Coral Gables Museum Celebrating Culture, Tradition, and Unity
Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez recently attended a special cultural exhibition at the Coral Gables Museum, highlighting the traditions, heritage, and strong connections that unite communities across South Florida.
The exhibit, Alfombra de Aserrín, offered a thoughtful and detailed look at a longstanding Guatemalan tradition, showcasing the artistry and cultural significance behind the vibrant sawdust carpets created during Semana Santa. The event brought together local leaders and international representatives, including the Consul General of Mexico, the Consul General of Guatemala, and Coral Gables Mayor Vince Lago.
