The Miami-Dade County Office of the Tax Collector brought its Mobile Office to the Historic City Hall in Opa-Locka as part of City Hall on Wheels: Miami-Dade County Edition, an event designed to make essential public services more accessible to local residents.

Our team was proud to serve the people of Opa-Locka and surrounding communities, helping residents renew driver licenses, pay property taxes, register vehicles, apply for business tax receipts, and access voter and property information, all in one convenient location.

“At the Tax Collector’s Office, our mission is simple: to serve every resident of Miami-Dade County with care, efficiency, and respect,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “Bringing our services to Opa-Locka is part of that commitment. We want every community to know that we care about them and are here for them always.”

We thank Mayor John H. Taylor Jr. and the City of Opa-Locka for welcoming us and showing us incredible warmth and hospitality.

Events like City Hall on Wheels help us do what we do best—bring government closer to the people. For our office, it’s not just about collecting taxes. It’s about serving neighbors, strengthening trust, and making sure every resident can access the services they need right in their own community.
