The Miami-Dade County Office of the Tax Collector is finalizing preparations for the official takeover of the Miami Gardens Tax Collector Office, marking another milestone in expanding accessibility and direct service for residents across the county. This new location will become the tenth Tax Collector Office in Miami-Dade County, further strengthening the agency’s presence and commitment to convenient, community-based service.

Ahead of the transition, Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez worked alongside his team at the new location to ensure that every operational detail is ready for a smooth handover. Once fully operational, the Miami Gardens Tax Collector Office will provide all core services, including driver’s licenses and ID cards, vehicle registrations, property tax payments, and business tax receipts.

“This expansion is about more than a new location, it’s about continuing to bring government closer to the people,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “Miami Gardens represents the spirit of our community: hardworking, diverse, and growing. Our team is committed to ensuring that every resident has access to efficient, reliable service without the barriers of distance or delay.”

The opening of the Miami Gardens Tax Collector Office underscores Fernandez’s ongoing focus on accessibility, efficiency, and community-centered service, ensuring that every step forward reflects the office’s core mission — to serve the people of Miami-Dade County with dedication and integrity.
