Miami-Dade Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez Joins Hammocks CAC Meeting to Strengthen Community and Law Enforcement Partnership

Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez recently attended the Hammocks Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting as a special guest, joining residents for an evening of meaningful dialogue focused on public safety, community engagement, and local partnership.
The meeting provided neighbors with the opportunity to ask thoughtful questions, share concerns, and engage directly with local leaders. For Fernandez, these conversations are essential to building trust and ensuring that government remains responsive to the people it serves.
“Community engagement makes a real difference,” Fernandez said. “When residents take the time to participate, ask questions, and stay informed, it strengthens our neighborhoods and helps us work together more effectively.”
During the meeting, Fernandez emphasized his support for strong partnerships between residents and law enforcement, recognizing the important role collaboration plays in maintaining safe and thriving communities. He also expressed appreciation for the dedicated men and women of the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office , who work daily to protect families throughout the Hammocks and across the county.
The evening underscored a shared commitment to accountability, communication, and proactive problem-solving. By participating in forums like the Hammocks CAC meeting, the Miami-Dade County Tax Collector’s Office continues its mission of staying present in the community and supporting partnerships that keep Miami-Dade strong.
