Miami, FL – September 5, 2025 – Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez announced today the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newest Tax Collector’s branch office, located inside the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building, the central courthouse of the Miami-Dade Eleventh Judicial Circuit.

“In collaboration with Miami-Dade County Clerk of the Courts and Comptroller Juan Fernandez-Barquin, I am proud to announce that, for the first time, the central courthouse will feature a driver license office,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “This new branch gives residents the convenience of resolving license issues at the court level and then being able to walk directly into our office to get their reinstated licenses on the spot.”

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held in partnership with Clerk of Courts and Comptroller Juan Fernandez-Barquin. Community members, members of the press, and local leaders are invited to join in celebrating this milestone for Miami-Dade County.
