Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez Announces Grand Opening of Midway Crossings — Fourth Tax Collector’s Branch Office in the County

Miami, FL. June 2, 2025 — Miami-Dade County Tax Collector, Dariel Fernandez is proud to invite you to the grand opening of the Midway Crossings Tax Collector’s Office, this Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Formerly known as the Mall of the Americas DMV, this office is now the fourth Tax Collector branch office in the county, and it represents a major milestone in transforming government services for the benefit of the residents.

Since transitioning over the Tax Collector's management a few weeks ago, the Midway Crossings location has undergone a remarkable transformation. Once infamous for long lines and customer frustration, the office now offers fast, efficient service thanks to a combination of technological upgrades and increased staffing.

“We are entering a new era of servicing the residents of Miami-Dade with dignity and efficiency,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “No one should have to camp outside a building to access essential government services — those days are a thing of the past. We’ve implemented both technology and human power to ensure our residents get the services they deserve.”

The Midway Crossings branch, one of the largest and busiest driver license offices in South Florida, will soon offer the full range of Tax Collector services — including property and business tax payments, specialty parking permits, and vehicle registration renewals.
