Drive With Purpose: Support Breast Cancer Awareness This October
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 馃挆 In Florida, you can make a difference every time you drive by choosing the End Breast Cancer specialty license plate. Each plate helps fund vital research, outreach programs, and support services for those impacted by this disease.

How to Get a Specialty License Plate
Taxpayers have several options to request a specialty or sponsor plate, but the two most common methods are through the Renewal Process or the Replacement Process.
1. Renewal Process
The simplest way to get a specialty plate is when your vehicle registration (yellow decal) is due for renewal, which happens annually on your birthday. You can renew up to three months in advance, and at that time, you may request a special plate.
Your new plate will be printed and issued along with your updated decal.
Pricing:
The specialty plate carries an additional $25.00 fee, not including standard registration and issuance costs (which vary by vehicle type and other factors).
2. Replacement Process
If your decal is not near expiration or if you鈥檝e already renewed your registration, you can still request a specialty plate by replacing your current one.
To do so, you鈥檒l need to:
Complete Form HSMV 83146
Provide a copy of your Driver License or State ID
Pay a replacement plate fee (varies depending on the situation)
This option requires an in-person visit at one of our offices, but it鈥檚 efficient and straightforward.
By Mail
Residents may also request a specialty plate by mail. Because costs vary based on several factors, we encourage you to contact our office directly for an accurate estimate before mailing your request.
