Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez Opens 11th Tax Collector Office in Coral Reef, Expanding Countywide Access to Essential Services

The Miami-Dade County Office of the Tax Collector marked an important milestone with the opening of its 11th Tax Collector Office, this time in the Coral Reef area. The ribbon-cutting ceremony brought together local officials, community partners, and residents to celebrate a new chapter in expanding government services closer to home.
The new office represents a major step in the countywide effort led by Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez to make essential services more accessible for families and businesses across Miami-Dade.
“Today we open a new office that continues our mission of bringing government closer to the people,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “Families and businesses in this area will no longer need to travel long distances to renew a license, pay property taxes, or complete other basic transactions. This new location makes everyday services more convenient, more accessible, and closer to home.”
Local leaders joined the celebration to show their support for the expansion of resident-focused services. Special thanks were extended to Miami-Dade County Commission Vice Chairman Kionee McGhee, Supervisor of Elections Alina Garcia, Sweetwater Commissioner Saul Diaz, Community Councilman Paul Camacho, and George Raspal representing Miami-Dade County Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz for attending the opening and supporting this important initiative.
The Coral Reef location joins a network of 10 existing offices and reflects the Tax Collector’s continued investment in practical, efficient, and customer-focused service delivery. Residents can now complete key transactions — including driver licenses, ID cards, vehicle registrations, property tax payments, and business tax receipts — all in one convenient location.
“This new location is another step toward better service for everyone in Miami-Dade,” Fernandez added. “Each office we open deepens our connection with the community and ensures government works better for the people it serves.”
