Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez joined students, educators, and community leaders at the Coral Gables Adult and Continuing Education Center to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, where he had the honor of serving as Principal for the Day.

The event highlighted the important role of adult education in helping residents gain new skills, advance in their careers, and improve the lives of their families.

“It was a privilege to share this evening with such a dedicated group of students and educators,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “The work being done at the Coral Gables Adult and Continuing Education Center truly changes lives. I’m proud of the commitment each teacher and staff member shows in helping students learn, grow, and build better opportunities for themselves and their families.”

Fernandez thanked Dr. Louis Dash, Principal of the Miami Senior Adult Education Center, and his team for their continued dedication to supporting students and strengthening education across Miami-Dade. He also recognized the Consuls of Mexico, Peru, and Costa Rica for attending the celebration and for their ongoing efforts to promote cultural and educational collaboration within the community.
