Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez Joins Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk at loanDepot Park
Cancer has touched countless lives in our community — and behind every story, there is strength, love, and hope. This morning, Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez joined hundreds of residents at loanDepot Park for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, where survivors, families, and advocates came together to remind us that unity can heal and hope can move mountains.
As an Ambassador for this campaign, Fernandez walked alongside his Tax Collector team and the many participants raising awareness, encouraging early detection, and supporting those still fighting.
“Too many families have been touched by breast cancer,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “By joining this campaign, I want to help bring greater attention to the importance of early detection, expand support for families, and strengthen the research that saves lives. We all know someone who has faced this disease, and it is by standing together as a community that we can bring hope, raise awareness, and make a lasting difference.”
“Together, we honor the fighters, celebrate the survivors, and remember those we’ve lost — walking toward a future free of breast cancer,” he added.
The Office of the Tax Collector proudly supports local initiatives that promote health awareness, compassion, and community service, reaffirming its commitment to stand with every Miami-Dade family in the fight against cancer.
