Minimum Qualifications: Completion of 60 semester credits and two years of advanced clerical experience to include customer service and personal computers experience is required; OR high school diploma or GED and one year of experience as a Tax Records Specialist is required. Additional experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Description: The Senior Tax Records Specialist acts as an agent of the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicle (DHSMV). As such the person in this position is authorized with the responsibility of managing and auditing the collection of reports, transactions and fees related to a variety of motor vehicle transactions. This role involves working with internal and external license plate agents (LPA’s) in the processing and auditing of motor vehicle transaction paperwork, assisting at the window and answering inquiries from LPA’s, working on projects involving annual accountability reports for areas under the sections purview, managing the access to the FLHSMV FRVIS/ORION database, and assist with updating of all records pertaining to the unit. The Senior Tax Record Specialist in this position will need to have computer knowledge and the ability to bend, manipulate, and lift up 50 pounds of weight as they will be boxing and shipping paperwork.
