Miami-Dade Tax Collector’s TConnect Mobile Office Brings Essential Services to Camillus House

The Miami-Dade County Tax Collector’s TConnect Mobile Office was at Camillus House today, continuing the office’s mission of bringing essential government services directly to residents who face barriers to access. By setting up on-site, the TConnect team provided assistance with driver license renewals, identification services, vehicle-related transactions, and general tax-related questions for individuals who may not otherwise be able to visit a traditional office location.
Camillus House plays a critical role in Miami-Dade County by providing shelter, housing, healthcare, and support services to individuals experiencing homelessness and hardship. Partnering with organizations like Camillus House allows the Tax Collector’s Office to reach residents where they are and ensure that access to basic government services is not limited by transportation, financial challenges, or personal circumstances.
“As Miami-Dade County Tax Collector, it is always a privilege to work alongside organizations that are deeply committed to serving our community,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “Camillus House does extraordinary work every day to help people rebuild their lives, and our goal is to support that mission by making government services easier to access and less burdensome.”
Fernandez expressed his appreciation to the Camillus House team for their dedication and coordination, as well as to the Tax Collector staff who operated the mobile unit and assisted residents throughout the day. The visit reflects the office’s broader commitment to outreach, dignity in public service, and practical partnerships that make a meaningful difference.
The TConnect Mobile Office continues to visit neighborhoods, community centers, and partner organizations across Miami-Dade County, ensuring that services reach residents who need them most.
